StreetAirPurifier: Smart zero-energy city network of air pollution control devices with digital remote operation
Trajanje: 10 meseci (2023-2023)
The project has three complementary goals: (i) scientific-technological, (ii) socio-economic and (iii) ecological, to (i) propose and develop an effective (experimental) solution for reducing pollution and improving air quality in the populated areas, (ii) to develop an ecologically and economically viable technical solution for supplying energy to the street air purification system using alternative sources – latent energy taken from the environment (e.g. kinetic energy of road traffic, transformation of potential into kinetic energy, aerodynamic impact during a vehicle movement) and renewable sources of energy from the sun and wind, and (iii) to develop a smart, remote control, monitoring and risk management system for air quality preserving in populated areas (based on artificial intelligence algorithms). The methods that will be applied in this project rely on specific scientific knowledge in the field of fluid mechanics, body movement mechanics, computer science and digital systems, wireless communications, automatic process control, power electronics, etc. The achieved results will be measurable, analyzed and graphically interpreted in the phase of experimental verification of the concept. Within the project, it is planned to develop various scalable, experimental technical solutions (measurement-execution stations) at two locations that will be connected (networked) by wireless communications and digitally controlled remotely from one base station. Each of the two test pilot stations will cover an area of aproximately 10,000 cubic meters in which measurements and analyzes will be carried out. Scaling up of the project results would contribute to a measurable reduction of air pollution in the environment and thus affect a healthier environment and speed up the process of green transformation and the implementation of the Green Agenda in the Republic of Serbia.
