Institute Mihailo Pupin is the member of the University of Belgrade. Research and development priorities of the Institute are closely related to the projects of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia, as well as the strategies of the European Union (Sixth and Seventh Framework Program, Interreg / CADSES, COST, Eureka, H2020, etc.).

IMP–Automation & Control

IMP Automation & Control Systems Ltd. can be regarded as one of the most significant parts in the Institute, being usually the system integrator and project leader in most of complex projects, when there are several companies, i.e. departments engaged in its realization. R&D program of this company is mainly carried out in the field of operational research, expert systems, decision support, electric power industry and information technologies.

IMP-Computer Systems

IMP-Computer Systems Ltd. was established in 1997 as a IT spin-off company of the mother company Institute Mihailo Pupin. It is usually the main research and development part in the IMP system in e-government and military domains. Its engineers have related licenses and certificates obtained from main worldwide hardware and software manufactures (Oracle, Alfresco, Cisco, Microsoft, Reichle & De-Massari, Axis, Milestone etc.).

Established in 1997 as a spin-off company of the Institute Mihailo Pupin, IMP-Telecommunications is oriented towards national and international markets successfully partnering with product manufacturers and platform vendors to help them develop customized hardware and software for products meeting unique client needs.

IMP-Piezotechnology

IMP – Piezotechnology is a professional manufacturer of high quality frequency control products and magnetic components. For more than 40 years this company has been engaged in research and development in the field of frequency selection and stabilization, as well as production of crystal units, filters, oscillators and magnetic materials.

Fraunhofer-Pupin JPO

Through a Joint Project Office (JPO), the institute is uniting ICT expertise and resources with prominent German R&D organization, Fraunhofer-FOCUS from Berlin. Since its foundation, JPO has realized a large number of international research projects (EU Horizon 2020, FP6, FP7, CIP/EIP, Interreg/CASDSES, SEE, etc.).

IMP-Robotics laboratory

IMP Robotics Laboratory is the oldest robotics laboratory in South-East Europe and one of world pioneers of research in humanoid robotics. The working activity focus is oriented to scientific research in different areas of robotics and mechatronics, together with commercial engineering projects.

Science and Technology Policy Research Centre

The Science and Technology Policy Research Centre was founded in 1987 as a response to the awareness that a better understanding of the importance of science and technology for overall development is essential for a successful work in new technologies.

Center for Gas Engineering

The Center for Gas Engineering as a control organization has been accredited in accordance with the standard SRPS ISO 17020: 2002, type A, and it carries out its work with help of its accredited laboratory due to the standard JUS ISO 17025.

Integrated management system

The “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute is an ISO 9001 certified organization. It possesses developed standardized system, well-defined and proven procedures and management plans that are used consistently throughout the Institute.

Since 2000, the “Mihajlo Pupin: Institute has the Quality management system which is in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001 (updated to ISO 9001:2015 from June 2018), which has been successfully certified by the local certification body YUQS and the International association IQNet.

In June 2012 two new standards have been introduced in the Institute: ISO 14001 EMS – Environmental Management System (updated to ISO 14001:2015 from June 2018) and ISO 45001 OH&SAS – Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services (updated to ISO 45001:2018 from June 2019).

Since June 2018, the Institute has harmonized the Corporate Social Responsibility Management System with the recommendations of the IQNet SR10: 2015 standard.

The Policy of the Integrated Management System and the Policy of the Corporate Social Responsibility Management System show the Institute’s permanent commitment to remain the leading organization in the region in the field of high technologies and realization of scientific research and development projects.
