As Friday brings rain and a true taste of autumn, we look back to the sunny days of early October, when our colleagues enjoyed a few days filled with sports, teamwork and good company.
From October 1 to 4, Krupanj hosted the Science Trade Union Sports Games, bringing together employees from research institutions across Serbia. Alongside the competitions, participants had the opportunity to connect with colleagues and enjoy the region’s beautiful natural surroundings, fresh air and green landscapes.

The team from Institute Mihajlo Pupin competed in a wide range of sports, including volleyball, basketball, five-a-side football, running, table tennis, darts, bowling, chess and tug of war.
“The results were never as important as the friendships and team spirit we have built over the years. Of course, it’s always nice to come home with a few medals. We’re especially proud of our volleyball teams’ achievements,” says Dragoslav Mijić from IMP-Telekomunikacije, one of the event organizers.
Beyond promoting physical activity and friendly competition, the Games offered a welcome break from everyday routines, strengthening connections between colleagues and creating lasting memories.

“We had a wonderful time. The scenery was beautiful, perfect for walking and unwinding. We met many colleagues from other institutes, exchanged contacts, and I believe some of these new connections could lead to future collaborations,” says Kristina Rakić from IMP-Računarski sistemi.
Participants also enjoyed organized excursions to Dobri Potok and Mačkov Kamen, discovering the rich cultural and historical heritage of this part of Serbia.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Games and contributed to the fantastic atmosphere, both on and off the field!
