CLEAR PAY – Increase pay transparency and reduce the gender pay gap

Duration: 24 months (2027-2028)

The CLEAR PAY project aims to advance pay transparency and reduce gender pay inequalities in STEM sectors, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Addressing persistent structural inequalities and challenges in the implementation of the EU Directive on Pay Transparency (EU 2023/970), the project promotes a comprehensive approach combining practical tools, capacity-building, employee empowerment, and strengthened social dialogue. CLEAR PAY will develop a dedicated Pay Transparency Toolkit, provide training and mentoring support to SMEs, and pilot transparent and gender-neutral pay practices. Through employee empowerment workshops, the project will strengthen awareness of pay transparency rights, the ability to recognize inequalities, and negotiation and self-advocacy skills, particularly among women from vulnerable and underrepresented groups. National Social Dialogue Labs will bring together employers, trade unions, public authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to foster cooperation, exchange good practices, and develop policy recommendations supporting the effective implementation of equal pay for work of equal value. By combining practical implementation, institutional capacity-building, and transnational cooperation, CLEAR PAY seeks to contribute to more transparent, equitable, and inclusive labour markets across Europe.
