From 4.-6. October 2023, the Institute “Mihajlo Pupin” had the honor to host a high delegation of Caminhos de Ferro de Luanda (CFL), Angola’s railway, consisting of the respected general manager Manuel Kandakanda, special adviser Julio Bango Joaquim, and two signaling engineers.
Colleagues from CFL had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the wide range of Institute “Mihajlo Pupin” products in the field of railway signaling and communications, as well as the exceptional capacity of the Institute “Mihajlo Pupin” when it comes to design and implementation in that area. We had the opportunity to see for ourselves the determination of our colleagues from CFL to involve the Institute “Mihajlo Pupin” as a valuable partner in the process of accelerated modernization of the railways in Angola, which is underway.
As a part of the three-day stay, the Angola delegation visited the Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway, where the Institute “Mihajlo Pupin” has installed its own signal-security and telecommunication equipment, while representing the largest national subcontractor of SCRSC, a Chinese partner that performs signal-security and telecommunication works on this line.
