On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the Institute Mihajlo Pupin hosted a delegation from the Chinese company China Railway Signal and Communication Co. Ltd. (CRSC International) and its branch registered in Belgrade, CRSC International Co. Ltd. Belgrade Branch. The delegation consisted of Li Min, Vice President of the CRSC International Co.Ltd., Xu Yang, commercial director of the Branch in Serbia and Zhu Yubao, project manager on the Belgrade-Subotica high-speed rail project.

The guests were received by Dr Nikola Tomašević, Ph.D.El.Eng. director general of the Institute Mihajlo Pupin, Željko Stojković, B.Sc.El.Eng. assistant general director for finance and cooperation with the economy, Ljubomir Bečejac, B.Sc.Mech.Eng. director of the railway project and Mladen Gajčanski, B.Sc.Traff.Eng., assistant director of the railway project.

The aim of the visit was to inform representatives of the Chinese company about the work and achievements of the  Institute Mihajlo Pupin, the most significant projects, achieved results and expertise. Special attention is devoted to the presentation of the Institute’s railway program, i.e. solutions in the field of railway signalling, telecommunications and radio systems, starting from design, engineering, development of technical solutions and products, assembly, to commissioning and maintenance.

Institute Mihajlo Pupin is one of the main subcontractors of the Chinese company CRSC International Co.Ltd. Belgrade Branch on the Belgrade-Subotica high-speed rail project in the field of signalling and telecommunications. In this regard, the representatives of the Institute expressed their desire to expand and improve cooperation with CRSC International Co.Ltd. on projects in the Republic of Serbia, since our common goal is the fastest possible development and safety of railway traffic.

After the presentation,  the visit included a tour of the Institute’s most important development and research laboratories, among which is the EMC Laboratory for testing electromagnetic compatibility, the plant for the production of thermal and hydropower control systems, as well as the production plant of the Institute’s products and solutions in the area of railway signalling, telecommunications and radio systems.
