The Association of Serbian and Italian scientists and researchers (AIS3) organized the Quality of Life Workshop on September 21, 2016 in the premises of the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute. The subject of this fourth QofL Workshop was “Nano for Health”. The workshop was organized under the auspices of the University of Belgrade and the Embassy of Italy and the target were students of master and Ph.D. studies, primarily in the field of medicine, pharmacy, biology, dentistry and technology.

Nanomaterials are getting into all aspects of our lives. These materials are being increasingly used for pharmaceutical and medical purposes, cosmetics and personal products, energy storage and efficiency, water treatment and air filtration, environmental remediation, chemical and biological sensors, military defence and explosives, and in many other  consumer products and materials.

The participants of the workshop were welcomed by the Ambassador of Italy H.E. Giuseppe Manzo, Vice-rector of the Belgrade University, prof. Ivanka Popović, Ph.D. and Director of the Institute prof. Sanja Vraneš, Ph.D.
