The Energy Charter 2014 = SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SERBIA

The Eight International Forum on clean energy technologies was held in AP Vojvodina Assembly in Novi Sad between 30th September and 1st October. Public officials of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the representatives of the countries in region, representatives of foreign and local companies, and educational institutions all participated the event. Our Institute was represented by director Ms. Sanja Vranes, PhD.

Mrs. Zorana Mihajlovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, stated that Serbia has great potential when it comes to renewable energy sources and reiterated that 27% of energy is to be obtained from renewable energy sources by 2020. She asked the experts to continue their work on energetics-related issues, highlighting the necessity since “energetics-related crisis is not that far away and something that is due to happen in the future.”

More than 400 participants took part in the work of Forum. IMP-Automation and Control Systems contributed as the member of Energy Pool, while Marko Batic, the Insitute’s associate, held an excellent speech under the title “Software package for designing an optimal configuration of renewable energy sources hybrid system” during the plenum session.

During this years’ meeting, the Programme Committee Forum initiated the idea of establishing the Serbian National Energetics Charter.
