The 2nd CIRED Montenegro Conference on Electricity Distribution Networks was held from 15 to 18 June in Bečići, bringing together more than 250 experts from across the region.
Institute Mihajlo Pupin was represented by Željko Damljanović, who presented a paper entitled “Optimization of Parallel Operation of Distribution Transformers for Loss Reduction.”
The paper focuses on the application of algorithms for determining the optimal operating regime of distribution transformers based on load conditions and transformer technical characteristics, to reduce technical losses and improve the energy efficiency of distribution networks.
The algorithm has been implemented within the IMP VIEW4 SCADA/DMS system and is designed to support dispatchers in real time by providing recommendations for optimal switching configurations in distribution substations, enabling more efficient operation of the power distribution network.
