Our Deputy Director of IMP-Automatika, Aleksandar Car, in interview for Ekovizija Television, spoke about the sustainability of solar panels, the selection of optimal locations for solar power plants, recycling opportunities, and the economic viability of solar solutions for households.
The interview was filmed on the flat rooftop of the Institute Mihajlo Pupin, home to a 50 kW solar power plant that has been operating successfully for more than 13 years. The installation consists of 180 solar panels, each rated at 280 W, serving as a long-term example of reliable and sustainable solar generation.
A particularly valuable aspect of this project is that the entire monitoring and control system was developed in-house at the Institute, using the Atlas hardware family together with View 4 SCADA software – a proprietary solution that has become one of the Institute’s recognized trademarks in the field of energy engineering.
