On Friday, the Institute Mihajlo Pupin hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) of the People’s Republic of China. Following introductory presentations and an overview of both institutions, discussions focused on opportunities to establish and develop strategic scientific and technological cooperation in the fields of smart agriculture, smart transport, electronic communications, as well as other mutually agreed areas of common interest.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the Institute “Mihajlo Pupin” by International Cooperation and Technology Transfer Director, Marko Batić PhD, Scientific Advisor Prof. Dr Aleksandar Rodić, Senior Research Associates Valentina Janev, PhD and Nikola Zogovic, and Research Associate Sonja Dimitrijevic, PhD.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Scientific and Technological Cooperation was signed between the two institutes, establishing an institutional framework for future collaboration in joint research and development projects, knowledge and experience exchange, and the potential implementation of joint international initiatives.
