The Mihajlo Pupin Institute participated in the recently held CIGRE conference, showcasing its technical papers and representing the R²D² project in collaboration with its partners, SCC and EMS.
In parallel with the CIGRE Symposium held at Kopaonik, the R²D² consortium meeting took place in Lisbon on May 28–29. As the project approaches its final phase, the main focus of the meeting was final demonstration activities and plans for the exploitation of results after the project ends.
Marija Popović attended the meeting on behalf of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute and presented the progress within the task Sandboxes and Digital Twins. Within this task, IMP and other project partners are developing isolated environments and digital replicas of real systems, enabling secure and efficient testing of implemented solutions before their integration into the operational environment.
Additionally, in this final phase of the project, IMP is actively engaged in finalizing the development of several tools for operational planning and assurance of system resilience in the event of critical grid situations, which will be tested by Joint Stock Company Elektromreža Srbije and Security Coordination Centre SCC Ltd. Belgrade. Through this engagement, the Institute reaffirms its commitment to developing innovative and practical solutions that enhance the reliability and resilience of power systems.
