Are we on the path for green hydrogen transforming the energy industry? Could it become a key factor in the decarbonization of transport and industry? Who will lead this process – major energy companies or innovative manufacturers capable of developing flexible and efficient solutions?

These were just some of the questions raised at the recent conference “Green Hydrogen as a Guiding Light for Energy Transition,” where representatives of IMP-Automatika participated, including Director Bojan Papić, Deputy Director Aleksandar Car, Head of the Complex Systems Regulation Department Nebojša Radmilović, and Lead Implementation Engineer Borko Vušović.

Leading experts from the energy, industry, and technology sectors exchanged views on applying this technology’s current possibilities and challenges. Special emphasis was placed on successful pilot projects, regulations needed to support the development of hydrogen infrastructure, and concrete opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.

“Participation in such conferences is important for keeping up with trends and connecting with partners in the hydrogen infrastructure sector. At the conference, we heard that hydrogen can also serve as an energy storage solution. If solar panels generate an excess amount of energy that cannot be fed into the grid, one solution is to convert that energy into hydrogen, allowing us to store it in an environmentally sustainable way,” said Nebojša Radmilović.
