Yesterday, in collaboration with the Institute for Blood Transfusion and the Red Cross of Zvezdara, the Mihajlo Pupin Institute organized a voluntary blood donation campaign, which was met with a great response from our employees. A total of 26 colleagues participated in this humanitarian effort, including 12 women, while eight employees donated blood for the first time.a
“Voluntary blood donation is one of the noblest ways to help others. Each unit of blood can save up to three lives. Blood has no substitute, and the only way to ensure sufficient supplies for patients in emergencies, surgeries, and the treatment of severe illnesses is through voluntary donations,” said Valentina Janev, PhD, Senior Research Associate and member of the Scientific Council of the Institute.
This initiative once again demonstrated the power of unity and solidarity. Our employees proved that even a small act can make a huge difference – saving someone’s life.
