The Robotics Center of the Institute Mihajlo Pupin recently participated in the IFAM–INTRONIKA–ROBOTICS fair in Slovenia. The event provided insights into advanced technologies and Industry 4.0 through promotion, education, networking, and B2B matchmaking.

The head of the Center, Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Rodić, lectured on the topic “Building AI-enabled Collaborative Awareness with New Generation of Robots for Industry 4.0.” In the era of intelligent systems, collaborative robots, with the help of AI and digital systems, are redefining the way humans and machines cooperate, offering greater flexibility and adaptability to specific production requirements.

“These systems understand the physical and social context of the work environment, improve perception and predictability, enable intuitive communication with people and other robots, and have an awareness of themselves, their surroundings, and behavior control,” said Prof. Rodić, emphasizing that the future of the industry lies in the smart collaboration between humans and machines.

At the Institute’s booth, our colleague presented some of the most valuable research and development results from projects the Robotics Center has implemented over the past decade.
