Yesterday, the Agreement on the business-technical cooperation agreement between the Mihajlo Pupin Institute and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management was signed at our premises by Minister Dr. Aleksandar Martinović, and the Institute’s Director, Dr. Nikola Tomašević.
“The Ministry has recognized the Mihajlo Pupin Institute as a partner in creating a software solution in the form of a modern application that will enable faster processing of requests and quicker payments to agricultural producers following changes to the Agricultural Incentives Law. The Ministry and the Institute will continue to collaborate on various projects involving analysis, planning, and implementation of modern information systems,” said the Minister.
Dr. Nikola Tomašević, Director of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, noted that the Institute has been working on national projects for many years, including information systems, control systems, as well as in areas like water supply, smart agriculture, and others.
“The agreement is of great importance to the Institute, and we see it as a framework for further collaboration. It provides for cooperation on advanced information systems, both for the Ministry’s needs and for other public systems under its jurisdiction. In the coming period, we will define a list of priority projects for implementation, aligned with the strategic goals of the Republic of Serbia, particularly in the field of European integration,” emphasized Dr. Tomašević.
After the official signing, a meeting was held with attendees including the signatories, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Agriculture, Assistant Minister Anja Javor, Ministry Secretary Stanija Višekruna, Assistant Director of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute for International Cooperation and Technology Transfer Dr. Marko Batić, and Director of IMP-Automatika Bojan Papić.
