The “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute participated in the 21st CIGRE Symposium, held in Vrnjačka Banja from October 30 to November 2. This year’s Symposium focused on innovations and sustainability in transmission and distribution systems, with a particular emphasis on digitalization and energy efficiency improvement. Our colleagues Mr. Goran Jakupović, Marija Popović, Milan Josifović, Igor Bundalo, Predrag Ilić, Radomir Stamatović, Dr. Iva Salom, and others attended the Symposium. On behalf of IMP-Automation, Mr. Goran Jakupović received a certificate of appreciation for the support and contribution to this important event.

“As in previous CIGRE Serbia meetings, the 21st Symposium successfully presented the Mihajlo Pupin Institute’s technical solutions in the field of electrical energy, including both commercial solutions that are successfully applied in the country and the region and the results of scientific research within international projects and projects by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation. Events like this are significant because they increase the visibility of IMP’s technical and research solutions among our partners in the field of electrical energy and, at the same time, enable us to exchange useful information with experts from partners such as EPS, EMS, ERS, and others, preparing us for future development and research projects,” said Goran Jakupović.

This international event once again brought together energy experts and provided them with an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences. A total of 18 papers were presented, with the Institute’s associates showcasing seven of them, while the work by colleagues from IMP-Telecommunications titled “A Method for Modeling Noise Sources, Calculation, and Assessment of Noise Levels Due to Corona in the Vicinity of Overhead Lines” was recognized as the most notable at the STK C2 session.

Besides presenting papers, colleagues Aleksandar Car and Goran Jakupović also participated as expert reporters. Thank you to the organizers for the excellent organization and the opportunity to share and gain new knowledge. We look forward to future gatherings and new collaboration opportunities!
