The ‘Mihajlo Pupin’ Institute and the Belgrade Astronomical Observatory collaborate to present the STDM Demo 1 module (Space Technology Demonstration Module) at the recent International Fair of Techniques and Technical Achievements as part of the MOSAIC project.
The main goal of the MOSAIC project is the creation of a scientific-technological satellite that should be based on the 3U CubeSat platform. The satellite will be used for various scientific and technological experiments while it is in orbit.
The module presentation at the Fair is meant to bring satellite technologies closer to visitors in an interactive way and provide them with insight into current developments in this field in Serbia and the world.
The module has a system for determining its own orientation and in real time sends data to the simulator, which based on them displays the satellite in a defined orbit.
