Last month, a team of employees at our company IMP Automatika organized an unusual team-building event. Specifically, more than 20 employees and their families headed to Mount Rajac, to the Sports Recreational Center „Duško Jovanović“.

In a pleasant mountain setting, our colleagues participated in a two-day training session on the importance of feedback among colleagues, as well as tools for psychological safety. According to the soft skill trainer, Davor Pašović, psychological safety is crucial for business improvement of business, and it is present in teams where there is freedom of expression of opinion and acknowledgment of mistakes. Clearly defining roles is also crucial for the quality of teamwork, and this was another topic covered during the training.

“Skills acquired through training sessions can significantly facilitate overcoming challenging situations that may arise during the execution of work tasks, and reduce the likelihood of unnecessary stress resulting from inadequate communication. We have learned that it is not only important what we say, but also how we choose to say it,” says Marko Babić, an electrical engineer.

Colleagues used their free time for outdoor activities, which undoubtedly delighted the youngest members, as well as tournaments in table tennis, table football, fencing, and archery. Team building was complemented by visits to local landmarks, including the Crkvine waterfall, a monastery dedicated to the Presentation of the Mother of God, while for the most adventurous, the Mountaineering Society “Pobeda” organized a climb to the top of Rajac.

For Vesna Stamenković, a research associate, this was a very pleasant and positive experience from which they returned with many family memories and enriched knowledge that they will apply in new business ventures.

“Attending workshops, for me as a mother of two young children, one of whom is practically still a baby, wasn’t easily manageable except in this concept of family bonding. During the lectures, the children enjoyed the company of other kids, explored the nature or used the playroom at the mountain lodge. They experienced hiking as a great adventure, and as parents, we were able to recharge with positive energy through socializing with other team-building participants,” says Vesna.
