On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, H.E. Mr. Fatah Mahraz, the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in the Republic of Serbia, and his advisor, Mr. Youcef Sebaihi visited the Institute „Mihajlo Pupin“.

The People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria embassy delegation was invited and hosted by the Institute „Mihajlo Pupin“ Director General, Dr Nikola Tomašević, the Institute’s International Cooperation and Technology Transfer Assistant Director, Dr Marko Batić, and the Director of IMP Computer Systems, Vladimir Simeunović. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Željko Blašković, the Jugoimport, SDPR J.P. Head of the Department for Africa, Middle and Middle East, and Mr. Igor Vukmirica, the PMC Inženjering d.o.o Assistant Director from the Joint Affairs Sector.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the work and achievements of the Institute “Mihajlo Pupin”, both on the national and international markets, highlighting the three projects that are already implemented in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The Algerian side showed special interest in the traffic solutions program, i.e. the toll collection system and the railway program, SCADA systems for the electricity and water supplies, telecommunication systems, and the military program. After visiting a part of the Institute „Mihajlo Pupin“, H.E. Fatah Mahraz, the Algerian Ambassador, expressed his gratitude for the cordial and efficient reception and showed a willingness to help the Institute “Mihajlo Pupin” in making connections to the relevant Algerian companies, with a goal to achieve cooperation to mutual satisfaction.
