As a follow-up of the cooperation with Russian company “Neftegazoptimizaciya” which started in January 2009 in Belgrade, the delegation of the Institute „Mihailo Pupin“ gave presentation of pay toll systems at the state company under Russian Ministry of Transportation „Roads of Russia“.
Currently, Russian Federation does not operate toll collection, therefore the priority of Russian Ministry of Transportation is to establish a reliable toll collection system. Both sides concluded that exploitation conditions are very similar in Russia and Serbia. Members from „Roads of Russia“ expressed their satisfaction with toll collection system produced by the Institute „Mihailo Pupin“ especially in regard with: modularity, robustness, prevention of frauds and very competitive price.
The Institute was asked to make an offer for toll collection system for the M4 – Don motorway that connects Moscow and Novorossiysk. The first phase of the project would include one toll station with 16 toll lanes.
