The high-level Algerian delegation led by the Director of the Genaral Secretariat’s Office of the Ministry of Public Works,Algeria, Mr Mahiddine Mohamed, visited the Institute „Mihailo Pupin“ from the 14th to the 22nd of December. The delegation included the representatives of the Algerian Road Industry,Mr Ghozali Ahmed Rafik, Mr Elaraba Ziane Karnel and Mr Touahria Youssef, who came to Belgrade at the invitation of the Institute „Mihailo Pupin“ in order to get acquainted with our pay toll system and intelligent transportation systems.
During the visit, the guests had a chance of being informed in detail about theoretical bases and concept, architecture and functions of the pay toll system, as well as a chance of visiting the pay toll booths and seeing how the system worked in real conditions.
The Algerian delegation, as a part of the specially organized presentation at the Institute, introduced the plans for highway network construction in the Democratic Republic of Algeria for the coming period. Except the hosts, this presentation was attended by the representatives of the Public Enterprise „Roads of Serbia“, Ministry of Infrastructure and the biggest engineering and construction companies in Serbia interested in being included in road infrastructure works which would be open at the Algerian market.
During the visit, the Algerian delegation, led by the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Algeria in Serbia, Mr Abdelkader Mesdoua, was welcomed by Mr Bozidar Djelic, the vice-president of the Serbian Government and Minister of Science.
