Students from two classes of the “Radoje Dakić” High School of Mechanical Engineering in Rakovica and their teachers Ivana Plavšić, Sanja Dejanović, Biljana Jovanović and Nenad Radovanović visited the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute on Tuesday, June 11. The host of this event was our colleague Aleksandar Pavlović, Mechanical Engineer.

The students were able to learn about the oldest ICT institute in this region of Europe during a tour of the Institute and a detailed explanation of its exhibits and products. The students did not hide their enthusiasm, so they took an interest in the presented exhibits, asked questions and actively participated in the visit.

The visit was initiated by professor Ivana Plavšić, who teaches students in hydraulics and pneumatics at the High School ‘Radoje Dakić’.
“I used your institute as an example to give students a better understanding of how machines operate in practice, based on our theoretical understanding. During my education, I didn’t have that, and I’ll do my best to make it a part of my students’ education. We look forward to being your guests for future generations and are thankful for your knowledge passing on to our students”, said Professor Ivana Plavšić

These actions are always welcomed by the employees of the Institute, so we respond to requests and organize visits so that students can get a picture of the functioning of the system, the organization of work and the practical application of school knowledge.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to present a small portion of our engineering practice to the students, thereby generating interest in engineering and the future engineering profession. It is best to do what you love, but it is also useful to love what you do. When the students are interested in the subject they are learning, then it is not difficult for them and then they start to research on their own and pave the way to new knowledge”, said Aleksandar Pavlović, Mechanical Engineer.
