lydia-kraus-4359088Dipl.-Ing. Lydia Kraus, graduated in 2009 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
Before joining Pupin’s team she was a Student Research Assistant at the Institute for Communications Engineering at the Technical University of Munich.
During her studies she came as an exchange student to Serbia where she successfully completed a practical training and learnt to love Belgrade.
Her research interests include decision support systems and algorithms, especially for the use in building evacuation. Currently she is engaged on the FP-7 project EMILI.

 

 


marko-ribaric-3431094Marko Ribarić defended his master thesis “Using UML-based Rules for Web Services Modeling” (in Serbian) in December 2007 at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
He has been employed with the Mihajlo Pupin Institute since 2007. He is also member of a GOOD OLD AI research group (http://goodoldai.org/) at the University of Belgrade. He is engaged on the EU projects: Web4WeB – (semantic) Web technologies for West Balkan countries and REFLECT – Responsive Flexible Collaborating Ambient. His main interest include: model driven engineering, service oriented architecture, semantic web, business rules.

 


mladenstanojevic-copy-3410199Dr. Mladen Stanojević is a Senior Researcher at the Mihailo Pupin Institute. He received his MSc degree in the field of belief revision/truth maintenance and PhD in the area of natural language processing, both from the University of Belgrade. He has been working on applying techniques from artificial intelligence and natural language processing in real-world decision support systems, NLP based services and user interfaces, intelligent web applications, etc. His research interests include knowledge representation techniques, natural language processing techniques, semantic web, web services, service oriented architectures, etc. In these areas he published over 100 scientific papers. He is a member of IEEE.

Uroš Milošević, MSc, holds a BSc degree in Information Systems from the State University of New York, and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam. His research experience involves a wide range of topics covered by two EU projects, ESTRELLA and DynaLearn, during his time spent at the Leibniz Center for Law and the Informatics Institute (University of Amsterdam), respectively. His interests include both qualitative and quantitative approaches to artificial intelligence, multimedia information retrieval and semantic web.

vuk-mijovic-5583616Vuk Mijović, Dipl. Ing, has received a Dipl. Ing. degree in October 2009 at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia. He has been employed as scientific researcher with the Mihailo Pupin Institute since November 2009. bogdanpavkovic1-6211031Bogdan Pavković is a Research Associate at the Mihailo Pupin Institute, Belgrade, Serbia.
After obtaining a Master diploma in Microcomputer Embedded Systems (2009) at Technical university of Novi Sad, he got interested in the domain of Wireless Sensor Networks.
He defended his PhD thesis intitled «Going towards the future Internet of Things through a cross-layer optimization of the standard protocol suite» from the University of Grenoble, France in 2012.
His research interests include cross-layer and self-organization solutions for WSN, standardization (RPL + IEEE 802.15.4. ), multi-path routing with QoS, testbed implementation, emulation of large scale networks, and realistic link quality metrics.

dusanpopadicDušan Popadić obtained his BSc EE & CS degree at School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade (Department for Signals and Systems) in 2018 and his masters degree in 2019. He is currently a PhD student at the same faculty. He has been employed at Mihajlo Pupin Institute since 2019 as a Junior Research Assistant where he has worked on 3 European H2020 projects: InBetween, LAMBDA and TRINITY, and on ARTEMIS, a project financed by the Serbian Science Fund, Applied AI Programme. Dušan worked on developing an IoT system for smart buildings which relies on semantic technologies and which promotes efficient use of electrical energy. He is currently participating in the development of a platform for coordination and restoration of electrical power grids in Southeast Europe.

Jelena Jovanović
finished university of Mathematics, group for computer science, in Belgrade, Serbia. As a Software Engineer at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, she took part in design, development and implementation of many EU FP6 and FP7 scientific projects. Her interests include multi-criteria decision support algorithms, web application development, database design and implementation, but also she is interesting in gender aspects in career management and environmental protection. She also took part in several projects financed by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Serbia. She has experience in developing software using Java, EJB, JavaServlet, MySql, HTML, JSP.
