The Mihajlo Pupin Institute marked the conclusion of a successful business year with its traditional New Year’s celebration for employees, held on 31 December in the Institute’s Ceremonial Hall.
The year behind us was defined by significant achievements across multiple areas – ranging from scientific research and increased participation in international and European projects, to strong cooperation with state institutions, intensified commercial activities, and notable individual professional accomplishments of employees.

In 2025, as much as 94% of the Institute’s total revenue was generated on the open market, confirming its strong market position. A particularly important step forward was the strengthening of regional cooperation through the development and implementation of ITS systems in Albania, collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture in Montenegro, and business activities in the power sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Institute continued its successful cooperation with domestic state institutions, including the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, and the Ministry of Interior, as well as with partners from the energy, transport, defense, security, and telecommunications sectors.

In his address, the Institute’s Director General, Nikola Tomašević, PhD, expressed his gratitude to all colleagues for their professionalism and dedication, emphasizing that 2025 confirmed the Institute’s stable growth and continuity of successful operations.
In recognition of their outstanding contributions and the added value they brought to projects, the Director General presented the ‘Best Associate’ awards to the employees for their exceptional results in 2025.
A special Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the former Director of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Sanja Vraneš, as a token of appreciation for her years of dedicated work, the energy she inspired, and the lasting care for employees that left a profound and enduring impact.
