The 87th Death anniversary of scientist Mihajlo Pupin was marked in Idvor, his birth place. The memorial service was held in the church, wreaths were laid at the foot of his monument and the Academy speaches were given in the People’s House. On behalf of the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute, the event was attended by the Director of the Institute, Dr. Nikola Tomašević, and the Assistant Director of the Institute, Dr. Marko Batić.
According to the Vojvodina Live.rs website, the Idvor priest Saša Čatlajić, the assistant to the mayor of Kovačica Municipality Marijana Melis, the president of the Mladen Selak Foundation Milan Božić, prof. dr Branko Kovačević, director of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute dr Nikola Tomašević, prof. Dr. Dragoljub Martinovic and the director of the Regional Center for Talents “Mihajlo Pupin” in Pancevo, Dr. Dragoljub Cucić addressed the audience at the People’s House.
