Institute “Mihailo Pupin”, from Belgrade, and the South African Electric Power Utility, ESKOM HOLDINGS SOC LIMITED, based in Johannesburg, signed the Letter of Intent which envisages placement of Institute’s products for reconstruction of the system for management of electric power objects and plants in the Republic of South Africa. This agreement envisages establishment of the joint firm, training and education of ESKOM’s co workers in the Institute, and the set of actions meant to realize South African government’s programs. These programs are designed to increase employment of local labor, as well as to jointly develop new products. Future cooperation will not be limited only to South African market, but will include other African markets where ESCOM has its influence.
Serbian ambassador in South Africa, Goran Vujičić, whose persistent work and commitment lead to cooperation between Serbian and South African companies, attended the signing of the Letter. After the signing of the Letter, a program was established which specified all forms of cooperation, deadlines and necessary terms to realize them, as well as all other relevant obligations.
