The second (first one was held in June 2009 in Dublin, Ireland) meeting of the international CIGRE working group C2.33 on Control Centre Operator Requirements, Selection, Training and Certification was held at the premises of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute on November 19th and 20th.

During the first day on the agenda were topics related to the operator performance and training program design as drafted for the Cigre Technical Brochure planned. Also current and follow-on Cigre and the WG activities for the forthcoming period were planed and analyzed.

On the next day, with support of the colleagues from EMS – Public Enterprise for electric energy transmission and transmission system control (i.e. Serbian TSO), our guests from Romania (Transelectrica), Ireland (EirGrid) and Japan (TEPCO) visited National Dispatching Center and had participated in presentations and discussions regarding training organization and tool used at EMS.

The CIGRE (International Council on Large Electric Networks) represents large and significant international organization, with Central office in Paris, assembling electrical engineers from a many countries round the world. Work of CIGRE is organized through Study Committees, Work Groups and regular conferences and symposiums and is presented in the journal Electra and at the conferences
