At the meeting of the Organizational Board of International Conference ”Energy 2008”, it was decided to establish the annual award for the special achievements in the development of energy sector in Serbia. The first prizes were awarded on March 24 this year, during the opening ceremony of “Energy 2009” conference held at Zlatibor. The awards by the Association of Energy Sector Specialists were presented to the team of engineers – specialists from the companies “IMP-Automation and Control” and Thermal Power Plant “Nikola Tesla”, Obrenovac:

For years, the results of R&D work in the Institute “Mihailo Pupin” have been realized and implemented through the companies in the Institute or other domestic companies.

The designed solutions, software, equipment that has been produced, delivered and built in, testing and putting into operation of digital control centers for thermal power plant’s blocks in TPP “Nikola Tesla”, are all the results of team work, achieved level of software development, know- how in production of electronic equipment, but also of hard work and enthusiasm of the engineers in IMP-Automation & Control in Belgrade and TPP “Nikola Tesla” in Obrenovac.

The quality of built in software and equipment and increased reliability and energy efficiency of thermal blocks in all electric power objects which have been modernized during the last few years are the best proof of significance and immense contribution of this active team to the development of energy sector in Serbia and this is why they were awarded the prize of Energy Sector Specialists.
