The 33rd TELFOR – the International Telecommunications Forum – brought together leading experts in telecommunications and information technologies on 25–26 November in Belgrade. This year’s event once again proved to be an excellent platform for industry leaders, researchers, and professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities for innovation.
Key themes of TELFOR 2025 included the use of artificial intelligence and data science in telecommunications, advancements in smart grids, green energy solutions, and emerging 6G mobile/IoT systems.
The Mihajlo Pupin Institute showcased a railway dispatching communication system from its extensive railway technology portfolio. This system is designed to modernize station-based dispatch centers and enhance communication across railway traffic.
Visitors’ technical questions were answered by our young colleague Sofija Stamatovski.
Iva Salom, PhD, Research Associate at the Institute, delivered an engaging presentation about the Institute’s scientific and technological footprint. She highlighted the journey from research to the deployment of complex systems in the field, our core technology niches, and major projects implemented in Serbia and the region.
TELFOR is organized by the Telecommunications Society of Belgrade, the School of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade, IEEE Serbia, and supported by numerous donors — including the Mihajlo Pupin Institute.
