At the recently held Partner 2025 Arms and Military Equipment Fair, our colleague Sonja Dimitrijević, PhD, Research Associate at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, delivered a presentation on the prominent applications of machine learning in the economy.

The event brought together leading manufacturers and innovators in the defense industry, offering a platform for new collaborations and the exchange of expertise.

Sonja also presented the European project EUSOME, which aims to boost the research and innovation ecosystem for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) in Southeast Europe. Within this project, the Mihajlo Pupin Institute plays a key role in transferring knowledge on U-space regulation from EU partners to Serbian stakeholders – helping accelerate the transformation of research and innovation in the field of unmanned and piloted aircraft systems across the Western Balkans.

The U-space regulation, approved by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in 2021, marks the first European framework for safe integration of drones (UAS) with piloted aircraft.

By bridging advanced regulations, cutting-edge research, and regional expertise, we continue to support the future of mobility and innovation.
