These are just some of the impressions shared after the first Job Shadowing event held at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute at the end of last month.
More than 20 elementary and high school students – our future talents- had the chance to shadow engineers, researchers, technicians, administrators, and other employees in their workplaces.
Through this one-day mentoring program, they gained insight into the daily activities of our teams, learning about their professional experiences and responsibilities.
By solving interactive tasks and exploring the Institute’s products and projects firsthand, participants were given a unique opportunity to understand our business processes and organizational culture.
The young visitors showed great engagement – the visit turned into active discussions, thoughtful questions, and reflections on challenges and solutions, rather than simple observation.
This was the third event organized within the European project STREAM IT, which aims to give 13–16-year-olds a first-hand experience of careers in STE(A)M.
