Last week, the Mihajlo Pupin Institute welcomed a high-level delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo, led by Mr. Jeff Lushima Okitayembe, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. The official visit also included H.E. Mr. Joseph Kalala Mulamba, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Serbia.
The delegation was received by Željko Stojković, Industrial Cooperation Director, Bratislav Planić, Assistant Director of IMP-Telecommunications, and Ivan Todorović, Lead Engineer for Information Systems Implementation.
After the official discussions and a presentation of the Institute’s latest projects and key achievements, the distinguished guests toured the Institute’s campus, including the Idvorskiy Laboratories, simulator classroom, toll collection testing ground, the newly developed railway systems training ground, as well as parts of the production facilities for final testing of electronic systems.
The main purpose of the visit was to explore cooperation in the field of information security systems, an area in which the Institute’s engineers have been actively engaged in recent years. The representatives from the DR Congo expressed strong interest in establishing collaboration, emphasizing the importance of information security in today’s geopolitical context.
