At the People’s House in Idvor, the scientific-educational camp “Mihajlo Idvorski Pupin” was officially opened. The camp, held in Pupin’s birthplace from July 8 to 15, was attended by representatives of the Municipality of Kovačica, Aleksandar Car, Deputy Director of IMP-Automatika, and mentors from the Regional Talent Center.
This year’s camp theme is “The Digital Challenge – Applying Microcontrollers and the Processing Software Tool in Physics Teaching.” Over the next week, 18 talented students from Serbia and the region will have the opportunity to work with Arduino Uno and Micro:bit microcontrollers, as well as various sensors, including those for measuring air and soil temperature and humidity, ultrasonic sensors, magnetic field sensors, and accelerometers.
The camp’s goal is to integrate computer science, electronics, and physics, enabling students to independently design and conduct experiments.
The camp is supported by the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth and Erasmus, with the Mihajlo Pupin Institute once again serving as the main sponsor.
