Students from the third and fourth grades of the Radoje Dakić Secondary Mechanical School in Rakovica, along with their teachers Biljana Jovanović and Mirjana Lažetić, visited the Mihajlo Pupin Institute on Friday, April 11th. The hosts, colleagues from IMP-Automatika and the Robotics Center, presented the Institute’s rich history, areas of work, and most interesting products to the students.

During the tour of the Institute and the detailed presentation of products and exhibits, the students asked questions and showed great interest in modern solutions in industrial automation and robotics.

The initiative for the visit came from Professor Biljana Jovanović.

“The theory we teach cannot be separated from the hands-on practice that we can see firsthand here at your Institute. We are grateful to the Mihajlo Pupin Institute for its openness and willingness to host our students. This kind of collaboration means a lot to us because it gives students the opportunity to see how what they learn in school is applied in practice – and, more importantly, it can motivate them to further improve their skills,” said Professor Jovanović.

Such initiatives are warmly welcomed by the Institute’s employees, and it is always a pleasure for us to organize visits so that students can gain insight into system operations, work organization, and the practical application of school knowledge.

“It was our pleasure to host the students and show them what work looks like in the oldest Institute in our part of Europe. We believe that such visits are extremely important because they give young people the opportunity to gain a realistic picture of the professional environment and the practical application of the knowledge they acquire in school. Understanding production processes and teamwork are skills best learned through direct experience. Additionally, I hope we have inspired them at least a little for their further development and career direction,” said Nemanja Nešić, an engineer from IMP-Automatika.
