The 32nd Telecommunications Forum “Telfor” proved to be an excellent venue for connecting industry leaders, researchers, and professionals, exchanging ideas, and identifying new opportunities for innovation. “Collaboration and coordinated efforts among institutions, the scientific community, the industry, and the economy are key to continuing the rapid development of information and communication technologies,” said Milan Dobrijević, State Secretary for Telecommunications, at the forum’s opening.
The Mihajlo Pupin Institute showcased its latest solutions, such as the railway dispatching system, which enables communication in railway traffic and is intended for modernizing existing dispatching centers at stations. Additionally, the BVM8 module was presented, which represents the status of critical machines in the power system, such as thermal and hydro units.
The Mihajlo Pupin Institute also participated through scientific papers by its collaborators. Miloš Nenadović presented his work on the “IntelliLung AI-DSS Trustworthiness Evaluation Framework,” while Dr. Valentina Janev presented on “Digital Transformation for Local Energy Communities: Challenges and Opportunities (Omega X).” These works were developed as part of the Institute’s involvement in EU-funded projects. Telfor also served as an opportunity to highlight participation in other European projects, such as InterPED and GoToTwin.
