On Friday, October 18th, a working meeting was held at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute between the leadership of Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) and the Institute’s management. The meeting was attended by EPS General Director Dušan Živković and his advisor, Prof. Dr. Milan Radunović. They were hosted by the Director of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, Dr. Nikola Tomašević, the Director of IMP-Automatika, Bojan Papić, the Director of IMP-Project Engineering, Aleksandar Jevtović, and advisors to the Director of IMP-Project Engineering, Milivoje Miletić, Prof. Dr. Radivoje Mitrović, and Dragan Jovanović.

After the presentation of the Institute’s portfolio and ongoing projects, Director Živković emphasized the importance of the Institute’s involvement and support for EPS through numerous projects, as well as the obligation for the Institute to work even more intensively on developing modern technological solutions, especially in the field of artificial intelligence applications.

The meeting continued with discussions on the framework agreement signed between the Republic of Srpska and Serbia regarding the revitalization of existing thermal power plants in that region. Director Jevtović presented the comprehensive capabilities and readiness of the Institute to gather the necessary resources for the revitalization of thermal energy capacities.

“This meeting demonstrates that we are continuing the Institute’s good practice, which is the application of science in industry. As key drivers of technological changes, we are expected to offer solutions that are suitable for such projects related to energy and energy efficiency,” said Bojan Papić, Director of IMP-Automatika.
