
Having concluded the Contract for the delivery of the pay bridge toll system and the video surveillance system on the bridge Mobutu Sese Seku in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Institute “Mihailo Pupin” concluded the first business in Central Africa and, after many years, the first engineering export business.
The value of this deal is 504,996.00 €, and it should be realized within 5 months. The Contract entered into force officially after the Annex had been signed in Belgrade on 9th October, 2008. It was signed by Mr Luthelo Nyudi Mullera, general director of the company OEBK, that is the end user of the system and Mr Muba Wa Mwepu, financial counsellor in the Ministry of transport and traffic of DR Congo, on one side and on the other side, on behalf of the Institute, Mr Jovan Kon, assistant director, who had led this business from the beginning. Mr Kalombo Mukeba, maintenance director of OEBK and Mr Binde Mvumbi ,lawyer, in charge of the legal issues, as well as Mr Denis Tshilumba, director of the company NIMBA CONGO SPLR, who acted as the Consultant of the Institute in the realization of this Contract and who made all the contacts, were also present at the signing of the Contract.
