In the period from 10th until 23rd of September 2013, the high delegation from the Public Enterprise OEBK, which controlled the bridge Marechal Mobutu in Matadi in the Democratic Republic of Kongo, visited the Mihajlo Pupin Institute. Head of the delegation was Mr Modero Matondo, General Manager of the OEBK.

The subject of the visit was the commissioning of the equipment of the System for video surveillance for the bridge Marechal Mobutu. Realization of the System for video surveillance was the second part of the previously signed Contract for construction, delivery and commissioning of the System for bridge toll collection and the System for video surveillance. The first part of the Contract which referred to delivery, installation and commissioning of the bridge toll collection system was completed successfully in 2009, and according to the data obtained from the system user, it brought significant savings and increased revenues to the Public Enterprise OEBK which controlled the bridge.

Commissioning of the System for video surveillance was carried out to the satisfaction of both parties. The Investor was very pleased with the equipment presentation which was ready for delivery as well as with the demonstration of the system operation.

As part of the visit, the beginner course for the System for video surveillance management and the advanced course for System for bridge toll collection maintenance were organized. The training was performed with quality and after successfully passing the test, the participants were awarded certificates.

During their visit the OEBK delegation visited the toll collection station in Simanovci, and also the DC Elektrovojvodina where they were acquainted with the state-of-the-art SCADA system realized by our company “IMP-Automation and Control Systems” Ltd. These visits were organized in order to present the possibilities of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute in design and realization of the complex control systems which included systems for video surveillance.

The guests from DR Kongo were very impressed with the realizations of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute and they expressed their willingness to continue mutually useful cooperation between our two companies, primarily in the implementation of already contracted work, and finally they expressed their willingness to engage Mihajlo Pupin Institute in many other future business ventures in DR Kongo.
