In February 2011, the partnership agreement was signed in Kinshasa on the project development, delivery of equipment, installation and putting in operation the SCADA system for remote supervision and control of medium voltage transformer stations in Kinshasa’s transmission networks.

The contract includes delivery, installation and putting in operation the modern Dispatching center for remote control of 25 transformer substations in the city of Kinshasa. In the Dispatching center, the most up/to/date SCADA equipment will be installed and the transformer stations will be equipped with  ATLAS family devices for remote data collection and control.

The contract was signed by Jovan Kon, Assistant Manager of the Institute “Mihailo Pupin”, and Mr. Yeng Massampu, Managing Director of the organization SNEL.

The significance of this contract is considerable because of the fact that the extremely advanced domestic technology, the result of almost 40 years of development in the IMP, is exported to the African market where the great need for such systems exists.

The characteristics of the Institute’s SCADA and DCS systems are entirely competitive at the world global level and the entire program has great export potentials.
