RE-FEM Project Finale in Seville: Women Entrepreneurs—From Knowledge to Action

The closing event of the Erasmus+ project RE-FEM - Upskilling pathways for REsiliency in the post-Covid era for FEMale entrepreneurs was held on October 1, 2025 in Seville, at the historic Palacio de los Marqueses de La Algaba, bringing together around 200 participants from across Europe. Hosted by project partner Andalucía Emprende, the event convened policymakers, researchers, experts, and women entrepreneurs to examine the challenges women face in entrepreneurship and to present the project’s results.

The English-language panel “Resilient Futures: Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Times of Crisis” was moderated by Sanja Popović Pantić, PhD, Head of the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research at IMP, and featured speakers from Hungary, Sweden, and North Macedonia. The discussion underscored the importance of gender-responsive policies, local approaches, and collaboration among academia, industry, and civil society.

Daniela Kuzmanović, MSc, presented the Final Policy Study, authored by the team at the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research, Mihajlo Pupin Institute, with contributions from project partners. The study offers recommendations to strengthen support for women entrepreneurs by improving access to finance, digital skills, and collaboration networks.

 

A second panel focused on the Andalusia region Female Entrepreneurship in Andalusia: Real Challenges and Necessary Answers”, moderated by Olga Carrión Mancebo, Director of the Andalusian Institute for Women.

The program also featured inspiring remarks from representatives of European institutions, including Nadia Calviño, President of the European Investment Bank, who emphasized that empowering women is key to progress, stability, and prosperity.

This final gathering in Seville symbolically wrapped up the RE-FEM project, whose outcomes continue to foster an inclusive and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem across Europe.
