Conference under the POLICY ANSWERS project
Conference under the POLICY ANSWERS project, titled “Policy Dialogue on Aligning Priorities in the Western Balkans” – WB Vision 2023, held on September 13th in Sarajevo at the GreenPark Space had a significant impact when government representatives from the Western Balkans, key stakeholders, European Commission (EC) representatives, and experts from both the Western Balkans and the EU converged at the 3 thematic domains: digital, green and health.
Approximately 150 participants from 19 European countries attended the conference. This event also provided an excellent opportunity to stimulate dialogue and collaboration between representatives of Western Balkans Ministries and European Partnerships, resulting in the organization of 38 bilateral meetings. The conference, served as the focal point, accompanied by two specific workshops (14.-15. September) dedicated to research infrastructures and researchers’ mobility.
Mihajlo Pupin Institute actively participated in the conference’s organization, also Sanja Popović Pantić, the head of the Science and Technology Policy Research Center, successfully moderated the session titled “DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION – Shaping the Western Balkans Digital Future” Additionally, representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia were in attendance, alongside other interested participants from Serbia.
