The report, based on over 150 interviews with female students and experts from 15 European countries, identifies key barriers such as gender stereotypes, male-centred environment in classrooms, and lack of institutional support. Recommendations include early development of critical skills, gender-sensitive training for educators, and innovative learning approaches that engage students creatively. Role models and community support are also seen as vital in sustaining girls' interest in STEM.

STREAM IT Launches Virtual Makerspace to Support Gender-sensitive and Inclusive STEAM Education

"Virtual Makerspace" is an online platform that offers resources for STEM education, an interactive map showcasing STEAM projects and initiatives in different countries, National Inspiration Hubs (NIH), as well as a forum and event calendar.

Empowering STEAM Educators to Contribute to Improving Gender Equality Through National Inspiration Hubs

National Inspiration Hubs are online spaces that bring together STEM educators, communities, and stakeholders from across Europe to promote gender equality and inclusiveness in STEM education.
