Advancing Embedded Systems Research in Serbia – SCOPES
This project proposes bilateral cooperation between the Processor Architecture Laboratory (LAP, http://lap.epfl.ch) of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, www.epfl.ch), Switzerland, and the Communications and Embedded Systems Research Group (CESRG) of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute (Pupin), Belgrade, Serbia.
The research area is embedded systems design in which the Swiss partner is internationally recognized with a strong research and publication record. The CESRG-Pupin possesses a good research and publication record in wireless communications and networks, and has expertise in development and engineering of embedded systems.
The major goal of this project is the increase in qualifications of young researchers at Pupin. This objective will be reached through several visits by young scientist and graduate students to LAP-EPFL. Through visits, and exchange of know-how and experience, we aim at improving strategic research planning and research project management at Pupin. The project lasts from November 2009 to October 2012.
