The award “Captain Miša Anastasijević”, which is awarded to the most prominent companies, small and medium sized companies, brands, organizations and institutions, creators and individuals for exceptional results in business, creativity and social responsibility for the area of Belgrade, was presented at the Rectorate of the Belgrade University on 28th March 2019.
The award, which consists of a plaque and a gold coin with the image of Captain Miša, the work of academic sculptor Ljubiša Mančić, was received by 22 laureates in different categories.
Prof. Sanja Vranes,PhD EE, Director of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, received this prestigious award as “The most successful woman in science and business” for successful management of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute (seven years as the Director General and ten years before as the Scientific Director), exceptional scientific results (more than 250 publications), the acquisition of a large number of European projects, and the education of young engineers at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, where she is a full professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatic
