Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, prof dr Zorana Mihajlović, put into operation a new photovoltaic power station on the flat roof of the building of the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute by the symbolic ribbon cutting.
The station, containing 180 solar panels 280W each, total power 50kW, was completely realized owing to the funds and efforts of the Institute experts, who in four months went through the whole procedure including preliminary design, obtaining permission, construction, commissioning and acquiring status of the privileged power producer.
Supervision and control system for this photovoltaic station was completely produced in the Institute, and it contained hardware Atlas families and SCADA software View4, which have been the well-established Institute brands for years in the energetic area in the country and abroad. Monitoring the station operation is possible over the Internet in the real time, and the system also collects and stores the data according to which the detailed operation analysis is done by various criteria. Having constructed the photovoltaic station, the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute joined the efforts of the Republic of Serbia to implement the European Directive 2020 in the area of the renewable energy sources and significantly reduced its monthly electricity bills.
