The state delegation of Democratic Republic of the Congo paid visit to Belgrade and our Institute. The delegation was led by Minister of Transport and Communications Ms. Marie-Laure Kawanda Kayena. In the delegation were also HE Ambassador Dr. Paul-Emile Ishinga Ahuka, cabinet members and technical director of urban railways. The visit to the Institute followed the successful finalization of the contract for toll collection and video surveillance systems on the bridge of Mobutu Sese Seko. The Minister confirmed further interest of the Government of the DR Congo to continue cooperation with the Institute in new projects primarily in the field of transport.
The members of the delegation had several meetings with Serbian ministers in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society and the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development. The possibilities of including Serbian companies in infrastructure projects and technology transfer in DR Congo were also discussed and welcomed by both parties. The Minister Kayena also pointed out that there is a high level of political agreement to improve cooperation between our countries.
