Professor Branka Vučetić from University of Sydney, Australia, presented research directions and results on Smart Grids at the University Centres of Excellence in Telecommunications and Power Engineering. The presentation was given on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Mihailo Pupin Institute. In particular, design principles and a demonstration telecommunication network for smart grids were considered. Furthermore, an overview of research directions in power systems, power quality monitoring, renewable energies and power electronics were discussed.
