Within the seminar of the Scientific Council of the Institute Mihailo Pupin, the respectable professor Jozo Dujmović from San Francisco State University, delivered an interesting lecture „Model of soft computer science for convenience maps“ on the 10th of June.

The concept of logical aggregation for geographical convenience maps which were defined as space distribution of convenience level of geographical location for the analyzed implementation were shown. Typical examples of such a usage include agriculture, industry development, building houses, hospitals, schools, recreative centers, sports objects, shopping malls, airports etc. The shown approach is based on soft computer science with partial truth and logical functions with gradation within the original method of Logical scoring of preferences LSP (Logical Scoring of Preference). During the first part of the lecture, mathematical formalisations of decision logics were shown and then the whole procedure was ilustarted with real and effective examples.

Professor Jozo Dujmović developed the model LSP for estimation, choice and optimization of complex systems. LSP has been based on its results from the domain of soft computer science based on continuous transformation from conjunction to disjunction since 1973. He is an author of more than 130 reference publications, including 130 books and book chapters. Professor Dujmović was three times awarded the best writer and he is a renowed senior member of the IEEE organization, editor of Informatica and chairman during prestigious international symposiums and conferences.
