Delegation of the organization OEBK Commune de MATADI from DR Congo visited the Institute Mihailo Pupin from the 24th to the 30th of April. The purpose of their stay was realization of the Contract for delivering the bridge pay-toll system on the bridge Mobutu-Sese-Seko in the port Matadi in Congo which had been signed on October 9, 2008 and the factory acceptance test of the equipment produced according to the above-mentioned Contract.
The delegation consisted of the most responsible people from the organization OEBK Commune de MATADI Mr. Luthelo Nyudi Muller, General Director and Mr. Kolombo Mukeba, Technical Director. Representatives of our Institute were Mr. Jovan Kon, Assistant General Director, Mr. Zlatomir Damnjanovic, Project Manager, and other employees working on this project were also included in FAT. Mr. Denis Tshilumba, Director of the company NIMBA, Institute’s Consultant on this project was also present.
The factory acceptance test was performed successfully and the Investor was extremely satisfied with the presented possibilities and the quality of the equipment and that fact was also recorded in the official minutes.
Further works include on site mounting and installation of the equipment in Congo in cooperation with the Investor’s experts and afterwards putting into operation and commissioning of the object. The system should be put in operation in June this year.
It is also expected that successful operation of this system will open other business possibilities for our Institute in this African country, such as delivering of the automatic pay toll system for the roads in DR Congo where only manual tolling exists for the moment, as well as the opportunities in other areas in which Institute Mihailo Pupin possesses know how and references.
